About SolHub

Why we built SolHub

After launching a product, indie developers often lack a trustworthy, restrained channel: big platforms are noisy, ranking rules are opaque, and tool sites are full of “cards without functions”. SolHub wants to be a different choice — transparent, explainable rankings, honest verification, and tools that actually work.

Core principles

• Build real, usable features first — no hollow feature counts.
• Every ranking, verification status and data source must be clear — no fake traffic, user numbers or votes.
• Tools run locally whenever possible — your input, images and sensitive data are never uploaded.
• Community submissions are public but never fake verification: submitting publishes to the community list, but Verified is granted only after an actual manual check.

Community submissions

SolHub is connected to CloudBase (PostgreSQL) as the community submission backend: anyone's product / tool is auto-published to the community list without manual review; self-contained HTML tools can be uploaded and run in a sandboxed iframe here. Submitted content is not manually verified — judge for yourself. Ranked picks are still manually verified by SolHub.

Verification

SolHub uses three verification states: Verified (passed a real check), Pending (waiting), Unverified (not yet checked).

• Verification is currently <strong>manual within 24 hours</strong>: editors visit the product website, check name, description and reachability, and record the time.
• Verified can never be granted just by user-entered info, image uploads or button clicks.
• Automatic verification (Meta Tag, file check, DNS TXT) is reserved with documented interfaces but not enabled yet.
• Demo entries are always marked Unverified and carry a “demo data” badge.

Ranking rules

• Verified first：Products that passed actual verification rank before pending and unverified ones.
• Human curation：Each week SolHub editors pick products worth attention with an explicit curated order (rankPosition).
• Demo data last：Demo entries always rank after real data and carry a clear “demo data” badge.
• No paid rankings：There is no voting or paid ranking today; if public voting is added later, votes only break ties between equal-weight products.

Roadmap & known limits

Current features and upcoming:

• GitHub OAuth login — implemented. Users can login, submit products, and manage their own submissions.
• Community submissions — implemented. No GitHub account needed; submit directly via form, products appear immediately and are verified within 24 hours.
• Automatic domain verification: Meta Tag / DNS TXT verification needs a backend service; verification is manual today.
• Voting / favorites / comments: planned for future; requires a user account system.
